Prajasakti Book House

Prajasakti Book House was started in the 1970’s in the city of Vijayawada. It's expansion began with the establishment of a branch in Hyderabad in 1994, followed by other branches in Khammam, Hanamkonda (1996), Tirupati (1997),Nalgonda (1999), Visakhapatnam (1998), Ongole (2008), a Mobile van (2011)and another branch in Hyderabad Sundarayya Vignana Kendram ( 2012).

Today,it has ten branches in all the major cities across the State of Andhra Pradesh and also a mobile van. It has become the center for unique and rare books that were written on Socialism in the era of Globalization, and on Democratic and Secular values in the wake of prevalent Communal-ism. In order to provide rare books that are not generally available , it has built direct links with not only the publishers from other States, but also with Zed Books in London.
The Central office was shifted to Hyderabad in 1999. The range and quantity of the publications have increased since then . It is printing more than 100 publications every year. It has published books of various categories like Politics, Literature, Social Sciences, Science, Women issues, Children Literature, Education, International Developments etc. In addition, it has started printing books in English language from 2002. Various book exhibitions are being conducted across the State . It has made its mark by conducting large exhibitions with books from single category like "Dictionary Mela" and Children literature.
